Sue Barnes work is inspired by the landscape, memories and by storytelling. The Downs, woods and lanes of Sussex were part of her childhood and they feed her imagination. Sometimes filling these places with odd characters, animals, and half remembered events. Sue work in acrylics, oils, collage and mixed media. She likes to experiment with different mediums, for instance, using oil based and water based paint
