Michael Cole is a Sussex based artist specialising in oil painting. Largely self-taught, he uses traditional techniques that have withstood the test of time to create highly evocative and atmospheric paintings. His subject matter is broad, inspired by travels in the UK and around the world, but the theme that runs through all his work is a fascination with light.
